A Practical Approach to Enterprise Architecture

A Practical Approach to Enterprise Architecture
  1. Leverage and reuse existing investment in Microsoft Technologies and content.
  2. Quick start and minimal training required (a tool for the business).
  3. Introduce standards and metamodel gradually in line with Architectural maturity.
  4. Choose a framework: Zachman, TOGAF, ITIL, Cap Gemini’s Integrated Architecture Framework (IAF), or create a custom framework.
  5. Establish AS-IS and evolve the TO-BE architecture (baselines) within the same Repository.
  6. Provide multiple views, entry points, and user perspectives.
  7. Perform impact analysis and advanced search on information (including metadata) in the artifact library
  8. Generate HTML Portals for stakeholders and collect feedback online
  9. Import artifacts from a wide variety of external data sources and tools
